Event technology at scale

Events are deadline engineering. The date is fixed, the spike is by design, and the software either holds or fails in public.

Stage lights over a crowd at a live event

Event technology is Bytekat's most battle-tested capability. Seventeen KKEM job fairs across Kerala ran on one platform we built. VAIGA Agri Hack, Kerala's largest agri hackathon, ran registrations, submissions and judging on our stack. The Smart India Hackathon and the Singapore-India Hackathon ran with Bytekat as media and technology partner, and the Reboot Kerala Hackathon and Career Expo 2019 ran on the same stack. Public campaigns like Kochi Metro's 365 Photo Contest and KSEB's consumer survey ran on platforms we engineered.

Why events are different

Normal software gets to fail quietly and patch on Tuesday. Event software gets one day, a crowd, and no second chance. Registration opens and thousands arrive in the first hours. On the day, organisers, participants and judges hit the system at the same time, from a venue with saturated networks. We build for that hour: capacity, simplicity under stress, and live dashboards for the people running the floor.

One stack, hardened by every event

We do not rebuild event software from zero each time. Registration, team and profile management, check-in, submissions, matching and judging exist as a proven stack that each event configures and extends. Every fair and hackathon it survives makes the next one safer, which is how seventeen fairs ran on one platform. That stack is deployable as our Event Technology Platform.

Event platforms for India and beyond

If you are running a job fair, a hackathon, a contest or a public campaign, statewide or national, bring us the event and the date. The date is the specification.

Questions we actually get.

What scale of events have you run?
Seventeen statewide job fairs on one platform, Kerala's largest agri hackathon, the Reboot Kerala Hackathon, Career Expo 2019, and national hackathons (Smart India Hackathon and the Singapore-India Hackathon) with Bytekat as media and technology partner.
Can the platform handle registration spikes?
Spikes are the design assumption, not an edge case. Registration, check-in and submission flows are sized for the worst hour of the event, and rehearsed before the day.
Do you support on-ground operations, not just registration?
Yes. Fair-day check-in, employer and candidate coordination, judging panels, and the dashboards the floor team runs on. The day itself is part of the deliverable.
Can the platform be branded for our event?
Yes. The stack underneath is proven. The identity, content and flows on top are configured per event, which is exactly why each launch is fast.
