The situation

Stock counts across warehouses were slow, manual, and stale by the time they were finished.

Orison's business is telling other companies the truth about their inventory. That truth is built on the warehouse floor, one count at a time, and manual capture made every count slower and every discrepancy harder to defend.

The approach

Ground truth lives on the floor, so the software had to match how counters actually move through a site, aisle by aisle and interruption by interruption, instead of forcing the floor to match the software.

Auditability was a first-class requirement, not a report bolted on later. Every count needed to answer who counted what, where and when, and what changed on recount.

What we built

  • Stocktaking platforms for capture that keeps pace with a moving counter.
  • Auditing workflows: reconciliation, recounts and discrepancy trails.
  • Warehouse tooling and reporting that turns raw counts into defensible numbers.
  • A point-of-sale system built for Orison on our ERP and POS stack.

The outcome

Orison runs its stocktaking, auditing and warehouse work on platforms Bytekat engineered, an ongoing engagement delivered from Kochi to Australia.

When a client's product is accuracy, the software either holds up or the relationship ends. It holds up.
